Tipping Point.

Won’t be long now. In a few months, Obama’s transformation of America will either take permanent root, or a restoration of America will recover its lost soul. Optimistically, you want to believe that a majority of Americans of every race and economic class still believes in America’s founding principles — those enduring precepts that unleashed a whirlwind of freedom from sea to shining sea. Pessimistically, you see a growing population that has no knowledge of, or attachment to, those principles, and worse, no gratitude for the ingenuity, industriousness, character and countless acts of courage of those who came before — those who toiled in good faith to carry and pass along the torch of that freedom. Whatever the outcome of the 2016 Presidential Election, history will record two things: One, that in 2008 and 2012, the American people, either naively or stupidly, placed their beloved country into the hands of a Marxist, fulfilling Nikita Khrushchev’s prophecy:

We can’t expect the American people to jump from capitalism to communism, but we can assist their elected leaders in giving them small doses of socialism, until they awaken one day to find that they have communism . . . . . .  we will destroy you from within. . . . .

Two,  history will also record whether or not the American people in 2016, did in fact, knowingly and willingly, choose Socialism over Free Enterprise Capitalism. Thanks to Trump, expert pundits, politicians and think tanks are as busy as a flock of agitated starlings to explain what’s going on. In a sort of controlled frenzy, they report and comment on Establishments, Outsiders, Special Interests, Polls, Brokered Conventions, etc. But, curiously, they fail to see the forest for all those knotty trees. As they obsess over Trump, they fail to see the elephant in the room. As they squabble over who will control the GOP, they fail to see the Enemy at the Gate. As they, and a gullible public, continue to treat the 2016 contest like a Super Bowl or American Idol, they fail to see or accept that America has reached the notorious Tipping Point. Even Trump fails to get it. He and everyone else thinks that protests and violence are a reaction to his brash personality and pugnacious attitude. Forget it. When you see Bill Ayers of Weatherman Underground fame at a Trump rally, you know he’s there for only one reason. For decades, since the 60’s riots, he and the Radical Socialist Left have revolted and hammered their way to power, personified in the rule of Marxist Barack Obama. With his coronation, they finally arrived. This very day, they occupy the hallowed halls of Washington DC. So don’t kid yourself. They not only run the show; they also have bullied and emasculated the fickle and feeble GOP into submission. After tasting the sweet wine of success for eight years, after all their sacrifice, they are not about to let anyone take away the keys to their Socialist kingdom. Like the GOP Establishment, they have everything to lose. Donald has to go down. Accordingly, the 21st century Brown Shirts are poised and mobilized. You know them by other names: Acorn, Black Lives Matter, CCDS, MDS, SDS, PSL and others. They share a common purpose — seek the overthrow, dissolution or transformation of all American institutions — primarily capitalism. Trump is their worst nightmare. With Trump on the stump, the Left is spooked. With his every victory, you will see a corresponding escalation in hostility and turmoil and violence. Meanwhile, GOP fat cats connive and scramble to keep their precious jobs and Conservative purists nitpick over a candidate that doesn’t measure up to their lofty, moral standards of behavior. And the vaunted Media fixate on personalities and politics to boost their ratings.  All the while, America hangs in the balance, teetering at The Tipping Point.

Underbelly.

Donald Trump deserves a Nobel Prize. Unfortunately, no category exists for his achievement. The Academy proffers awards only in Literature, Medicine, Peace and Physics. The time has come to add the Nobel Prize for Politics. Donald doesn’t merit this honor for anything as mundane as winning a nomination or an election, assuming either one happens. His accomplishment goes much deeper if neither one does. Trump has marched himself into the Washington DC gated community and blown it sky high. Like Caddyshack’s Carl Spackler, aka, Bill Murray, Trump has the inhabitants scurrying madly, attempting to avoid the latest bomb. No other politician (he isn’t one)in anyone’s memory could pull off this achievement — finally exposing the underbelly of the GOP. For decades, the dumb peasants thought the GOP was an opposition force, battling courageously against the forces of Big Brother Government, against erosion of capitalism, against the creep of socialism, against stifling regulation, against suicidal spending, against crony capitalism and against pernicious taxation. For years, every GOP candidate pulled out the RNC playbook to recite the game plan and talking points and to promise action — if elected. Sorry to be profane, but it was, and is, bullshit. Without even trying, Trump has “pulled the mask off that old Lone Ranger”(thanks Jim Croce). The GOP and Democrat Parties are kissing cousins and perhaps more. Both couldn’t care less who becomes President as long as it isn’t Trump. They prefer Hillary — at the very least, she will keep the gravy train chugging, chugging right along. They could even tolerate the hated Cruz since he’s a member of the Club and does have political self interest and ambition. But Donald? He’s a wild card, a firebrand, a (gasp) reformer. He won’t dance the Washington Two-Step. He doesn’t need the influence peddlers. Get it? And the mask is also off other special interests. With Trump, The Media Elitists lose their precious leverage because all these self important commentators and pundits care about is celebrity status and consulting fees. The Establishment feeds them. He doesn’t like, fear or need them. Good for him. The majority of Evangelicals claim to covet conservative principles. Don’t look now but they’re out of the closet, too, with only one true goal — a theocracy — ironically like those they condemn who espouse Sharia. No group bashes Trump more than moralistic, virtuous Christians whose single issue is a religious litmus test. They close their eyes and listen to Ted — and easily imagine sitting in the front pew. Along came Trump, and out of the back alleys and other big city streets come professional Socialist Mobs whose ancestors rioted in 1930’s Berlin and dozens of other fascist countries across the globe. Recently, you saw them in Ferguson and Baltimore and on college campuses. Freedom haters never go away.  Trump, a capitalist poster boy, is their five-star enemy. Foreign leaders also can’t seem to contain themselves. Could it be they worry Trump might visit the value of U.S. foreign aid? In 2017, one of two things will happen. America either regains Her Constitutional footing to achieve health and prosperity, or She submits to European style Socialism. It’s a clear choice. But, thanks to Trump, win or lose, the American people forever see the two-party Establishment for what it is — one party rule. And they will not be fooled again.

Notice.

As waves of Yankees continue to migrate south to live the good life in a good climate, the South continues to lose its identity, in the same way America is losing its identity as waves of illegal aliens cross its borders. The South lost the Civil War 151 years ago, almost to the day. The region experienced utter devastation — an elegant land turned into a wasteland. Yankee Republicans wanted to round up the Southern leadership for execution but Lincoln would have none of it. Still, the Union Army occupied the South for 12 years. Yankee carpetbaggers invaded eagerly, realizing that “to the victors go the spoils.” Rape had many faces. The South would never recover from its crime and never be rid of its punishment. Today, the South remains a second-class citizen, maligned and disrespected, however generously it may be coveted for its geographical blessings. Hollywood forever has reserved its venom for the South, incessantly depicting a society and a people as imbecilic, uncultured, racist yokels — almost sub-human. If you bother to notice such a thing, Yankees and  Californians run the entertainment industry. If you bother to notice such a thing, Yankees dominate television news. These are the most well-known faces you see and hear daily — you will note how many of them hail from the beleaguered South:

O’Reilly, NYC

Sustern, WI
M. Kelly, Syracuse, NY
C. Matthews, Philadelphia

The fact that Yankees are in charge of political commentary makes perfect sense since Yankees also have prevailed over the White House since 1850. Andrew Johnson, a Tennessean, did inherit the WH following Lincoln’s assassination; but toward the end of his term, sympathetic to the plight of the South, he was impeached and acquitted by one shaky vote. In subsequent years, only two Southerners — Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton — would come to power. If you bothered to notice such a thing, one was a miserable failure and the other an impeached perjurer — not exactly what you would call illustrious stewards of the nation’s giant Southerners — Washington, Jefferson, Madison and Monroe.  After Zachary, the Yankees, including Lincoln, took over:

Millard Fillmore      New York
Franklin Pierce      New Hampshire
James Buchanan          Pennsylvania
Abraham Lincoln      Illinois
Andrew Johnson          Tennessee
Ulysses S. Grant      Illinois
Rutherford B. Hayes      Ohio
James A. Garfield      Ohio
Chester A. Arthur      New York
Grover Cleveland      New York
Benjamin Harrison      Indiana
Grover Cleveland      New York
William McKinley      Ohio
Theodore Roosevelt      New York
William Howard Taft      Ohio
Woodrow Wilson          New Jersey
Warren G. Harding      Ohio
Calvin Coolidge      Massachusetts
Herbert Hoover          California
Franklin D. Roosevelt      New York
Harry S. Truman      Missouri
Dwight D. Eisenhower      Kansas
John F. Kennedy      Massachusetts
Lyndon B. Johnson      Texas
Richard Nixon          California
Gerald Ford          Michigan
Jimmy Carter          Georgia
Ronald Reagan          California
George H. W. Bush      Texas
Bill Clinton          Arkansas
George W. Bush          Texas
Barack Obama          Illinois

And, sure enough, we now have a NY Yankee at the top of the GOP heap, at least for the time being. Trump’s antagonist is one Hillary Clinton, originally of Chicago. Sanders is a Brooklyn boy. You know the rest — Rubio from Miami, Cruz from Canada, Kasich from Pennsylvania and Carson from Detroit. Gratefully, Lindsay Graham didn’t get traction and further demean the South’s reputation. Before him, you may remember another South Carolina native John Edwards, a sleaze who came perilously close to high office. The South likes to claim Newt because he represented Georgia but he came from Pennsylvania stock. If you bother to notice such a thing, the Old South just doesn’t seem interested in leadership. Maybe the South has decided to ignore the denigration and ridicule dished out by Hollywood and the Networks. But something tells you, if things get bad enough, you’ll hear from the South again. It’s in the genes.
