There’s a lot of political lying going on. No one, least of all the average guy on the street, knows who or what to believe. The lying isn’t new. As a group, politicians occupy the lowest rung on the Ladder of Virtue. Not surprisingly, they share that rung with attorneys — in many cases, of course, they are one and the same. No matter. Going in, you can’t  trust what politicians say. The Elder Bush said, “Read my lips.” Sayonara, sir. The current Occupant said, “You can keep your doctor.” Many morons believed him. Willy said, “I did not have sex with that woman.” Pants on fire. Deal with the deception. You have no excuses when you finally make your presidential pick.  You can’t even adopt the Russian proverb used by Reagan: “Trust but verify.” Because there is no basis for trust. So do your homework like a good little citizen. Wipe away your feelings. Suppress your emotions. Send the experts packing. Ignore the slogans. And assemble the facts — those pesky things Sherlock Holmes called — evidence. Who knows, your heart and head may decide to land on the same grownup. On the other hand, you argue, why  sweat it? Ninety percent of voters will invest exactly zero minutes in an honest evaluation of a candidate’s history — of their core beliefs, of their brain power, of their body of work. Instead, most of them will listen to friend’s talk, street talk and cyber talk. And most of them will exercise blind loyalty to, of all things, a Political Party. Not to America. To a Party. Blind loyalty is as real as rain — because no living human being, no fair-minded human being, no educated human being, no ethical human being — after looking at her history — could begin to support Hillary Clinton, without it. Blindly, they do, by the tens of millions. Once you grasp and accept that somber reality, friend, you can fully comprehend why and how chaos can defile your shrinking planet. And it’s happening at a record pace. Corruption and tyranny are pandemic. In America, for instance, another congenital liar and common criminal from the same family may once again sully the Oval Office. That abomination could never happen in a righteous land. Good people of any political persuasion or self interest could never debase themselves or dishonor the memory of a nation’s heroes and heroines by choosing a seasoned racketeer. Wait a minute. You wouldn’t dare suggest that those who vote for the Boss of the Clinton Crime Family are not good people. Yes, that’s exactly what you suggest. You can’t be serious. Twenty million voters are not bad people. Yes, they are. But some of them are friends. Yes. Some of them are family. Yes. Most of them are salts of the earth — decent and generous neighbors. Yes. If you really believe good people are bad people, you should get your affairs in order, say bye bye to civilization and strike out for the hills to become a modern day Jeremiah Johnson, find yourself a nice, dry cave, and with your wildlife skills, expect to survive, say, about three days. Bad idea. A better idea is to offer a solution that, if adopted, would revolutionize the election process and simultaneously entertain television debate audiences. This solution would be modeled after the 1950’s game show To Tell The Truth. Using WiFi, each candidate (contestant) would be “wired” to individual lie detectors. Tell a lie and various alarms (horns, buzzers, bells) would signal the severity of the lie. A big lie gets a blaring siren. With today’s technology, there’s no need for this nation ever again to be held hostage in the hands of lying politicians, much less a President. This technology should also accompany every congressional hearing. Imagine the outcome of lie detection at Hillary’s Benghazi hearing. Ear plugs would be a hot commodity. In a free country, you can’t outlaw the lie. But you can expose the liars — and throw the bums and bumettes out — permanently.

Late last year on a talk show Lt. Col. Ralph Peters said Barack Obama “is such a pussy, it’s stunning.” Shame on him for telling the truth. Regrettably, even straight talking Brit Stuart Varney said he should apologize. Perhaps the Colonel didn’t realize it; but in that offhand and somewhat insolent remark, he in fact stumbled upon a theory that explains the totality of Obama’s political behavior — his ideology, his actions, his inactions and his preposterous pronouncements. Consider his response to Kimberly, a rape victim who faced him at the recent CNN Town Hall meeting on gun control.

Kimberly said:

As a survivor of rape, and now a mother to two small children — you know, it seems like being able to purchase a firearm of my choosing, and being able to carry that wherever my — me and my family are . . . .I have been unspeakably victimized once already, and I refuse to let that happen again to myself or my kids. So why can’t your administration see that these restrictions that you’re putting to make it harder for me to own a gun . . . . are actually just making my kids and me less safe?

OBAMA replied:

Well, Kimberly, first of all . . . your story is horrific. The strength you’ve shown in telling your story and, you know, being here tonight is remarkable, and so — I’m really proud of you for that . . . there really is nothing we’re proposing that prevents you or makes it harder for you to purchase a firearm if you need one. There are always questions as to whether or not having a firearm in the home protects you from that kind of violence, and I’m not sure we can resolve that. People argue both sides. What is true is . . . is that you have to be pretty well trained in order to fire a weapon against somebody who is assaulting you  . . .  for now, what I just want to focus on is that you certainly would like to make it a little harder for that assailant to also have a gun. You certainly would want to make sure that if he gets released, that he now can’t do what he did to you to somebody else . . . And so, you know, if you look at statistics, there’s no doubt that there are times where somebody who has a weapon has been able to protect themselves . . . but what is more often the case is that they may not have been able to protect themselves, but . . . end up being the victim of the weapon that they purchased themselves. And that is — that’s something that can be debated.

Excuse me, while you allow me to vomit. This condescending “Commander in Chief” has the gall to educate this brave lady — that having a gun would likely be more dangerous than not having one. He doesn’t simply agree that she should be able to have a gun and make it harder for the bad person to have one. Oh no. He is compelled to preach that maybe she would be better off not having a gun. He could not help insisting repeatedly that the value of owning or not owning a gun “can be argued by both sides,” that it “can be debated.” You’re brain dead if you think Barack Obama is not trying to take the first step to disarm America. But don’t you see? It fits his pathology — the pathology of a sissy — the pathology of a boy who wasn’t reared for manhood, for manliness — a boy who was never spanked —  a boy raised primarily by a mother and doting grandparents — a boy sheltered — a boy  pampered — a boy who never had his butt kicked by a Father or a friend — a boy who hung out with boys like himself — a boy who knew he was a sissy and resented it — a boy who compensated for being a sissy by talking and lying his way into political circles — a boy who never wanted to dirty his own hands but didn’t mind associating with those who did  dirty work for him — a boy who embraced Marxism because Marxist ideology itself resents America’s exceptionalism and America’s admiration for individuality. It all fits. Obama wants to emasculate the strong at home and pander to those abroad. The sissy wants to wield power on the outside to make up for being a wuss on the inside. All the signs are there. The way he acts. The way he talks. Even the way he walks.  Peters had the nerve to say it out loud. Leave it to a soldier not to pussyfoot around.

Throughout the fruited plain, millions of ordinary people listen to Donald trump throw out the one-liners; and as they listen, also wait in vain to hear him speak memorably — to hear him reveal his closely held beliefs — beliefs that will calm a nation’s fears and engender confidence in him and hope for the future. But he foregoes rhetorical eloquence. Instead, he pounds the one simple promise: We will make America great again. Consequently, millions of Americans are left to fantasy — to imagine what they would want Donald to say or do. You don’t want him to step out of character and pull his punches. That would be phony. But you do think he should reach into the hearts and minds of people — all the people. If he believed it, this is what you would like to hear The Donald say:

I think a lot of people think I’m running for president because I enjoy celebrity status or a power trip. Well, it’s hard to get anything done if you don’t have power. But think about it. I’m not in this for money or fame — I can afford to take million dollar family vacations without spending The People’s money. I’m not at all interested in hanging out with Hollywood types. I’m not in this because I’m an egomaniac who thinks he’s smarter than the Founding Fathers. No, I’m running because I love my country and I’ve had to watch a bunch of crummy people run it into the ground. To his credit, Obama did what he said he would do — and he has in fact corrupted the greatest, most generous nation on earth and embarrassed us around the world. He appointed really bad people left and right. Hillary Clinton failed at everything she ever did, except at threatening and bullying  the women that Bill molested. She lies about everything; she sat around while Americans died at Benghazi and lied about how it happened. If she had done her job, those people wouldn’t be dead. She broke the law big time and got away with it because we have a corrupt Justice Department that refused to indict her. You know, I don’t care what skin color you are, what age you are, what party you belong to or whether you’re part of some special interest  —  I don’t even care if you’re an illegal immigrant — you need to put aside your prejudice, stand tall and be honest with yourself.  America has a 20 trillion dollar debt — unless we do something fast, that debt will bury this country in more ways than you can possibly imagine. And you know who it hurts most? The people who live from paycheck to paycheck — that’s who. The very people who support Obama the most. The people of  ability who used  to have good jobs  but have now quit looking, and they’re mowing lawns and flippin’ burgers to make ends meet. All of you can thank Mr. Obama for more than doubling our debt in just seven years and causing untold misery. But he didn’t do it alone. We are where we are because both political parties didn’t have the courage, or frankly, the decency, to do the right thing. All they do in Washington is talk. Cruz is right. There is a Washington cartel. The only thing in America getting bigger is the Federal Government. The rich get richer, the poor get poorer and the great middle class is disappearing. Our immigration system is in a shambles. Our foreign policy is ridiculous thanks to Clinton, and now Kerry. Our economic policies are anti-business and therefore anti-jobs and therefore anti-citizen. Obamacare is a sick joke. We go out of our way to protect Muslims and trash Christians. So you ask me why I bother to run. I guess it’s because I don’t see any other business person putting up his own money to do this job. I think there are lots of people out there more qualified and better equipped to do the job than me or, for that matter, any of the other GOP candidates. But really good people don’t want to get down in the muck and play politics. The fact is somebody has to step up and stop the insanity. So, it’s simple. I want to help make America great again — for my family, for myself and for you. I can’t do it alone. I have to appoint world-class people who agree that the Fed is way too big, too wasteful, too meddlesome and too corrupt. I have to appoint people who truly believe in the Declaration of Independence and our Constitution. America has nothing to apologize for. We were always a great nation with great ideas, great sacrifice and great accomplishment. We have let a sickness into our House and it has weakened us; but we can recover and become even stronger. The Federal Government is a huge business; it’s time we ran it like one.
