Before the election season slips away, the GOP candidate for president should contact Eagles artist Don Henley. He should ask the legendary songwriter for a favor. Could Trump’s campaign use a 10-sec. clip from one of your famous songs? For what? For a 15-sec. television ad. Most likely, any ad, no matter how seminal, would have no effect on the election outcome; but history would love it for a very long time; and, if possible, Eagles stardom would fly even higher.

If you don’t mind stretching your imagination, picture a medium shot of Democrat candidate Harris. She’s on stage, behind a dais, teleprompters to her left and right. She’s speaking to her adoring fans. Almost immediately, the camera begins a slow zoom, as she explains her economic plan. In just a few seconds, her face is full screen. In the background, you realize there’s the faintest sound of music. It seems familiar. The camera is tight now on her glittering eyes as the music and lyrics become audible and suddenly recognizable. As the music lifts, you hear laughter — hers. The audio: “You can’t hide your lyin’ eyes, and your smile’s a thin disguise . . .”

In the hands of a creative editor, this simple rendition should leave the 2024 political landscape with what it deserves — an open and shut epilogue devoted to specific truth. And whatever your political persuasion, there is no corner, no domicile, no business that houses more liars per square inch than the Federal Government. Worse, these are the liars who create the greatest personal hardships — the ruination of human lives at an astronomical level, with no accountability. This essay is dedicated to one of those liars..

Yet, the American people seem bound and determined to ignore these enemies at the gate. They elect senators and representatives to go to Washington — to go to State Capitols. They send them money. And the people they send conduct business. They attend meetings, perhaps author bills and meet with visitors. But they are unable or unwilling to prevent this Nation from plummeting into socialism. Why is that? These leaders can’t prevent catastrophic debt of $35.6 Trillion — they can’t prevent illegal immigration — or education tyranny — or energy dependency — or government controlled medical system — or drug cartels — or collapse of the dollar — or justice system corruption. These are the only people — the ones you elect  — who have the power to fix the debt, corruption and tyrannical rule. So why don’t they?

If you sit with them — or attend their speeches, they will tell you that they are “fighting for you” — a favorite line — and they will repeat the very things that need to change, but those things never change; instead, they get worse. It’s somebody’s fault but not theirs. Never.

Nothing explains the insanity as clearly as the emergence of Kamala Harris who did not compete and get elected in a Democrat primary, but instead was anointed — and the people who call themselves Democrats don’t even care that they had no say and no vote — that fact alone tells you pointblank that these people are robots. If that fact doesn’t give you the willies — consider the temerity of Harris who laughably announces that she wants to help the suffering American people who are hurting. So millions of people will vote for the very person responsible for that 2020-24 period of suffering. That’s like voting to elect Adolph Eichmann* to oversee the housing industry for the reconstruction of postwar Germany.

Rants like this tend to turn cynical because America seems determined to adopt the European Socialist model. Which is ironic since Europe is now awash in the destructive reality of mass migration. Simply stated, the American people are determined to kill the Golden Goose. They have an outside chance to come to the rescue with the Convention of States but; in one instance, the legislators in North Carolina led by a GOP controlled House and Senate seem impotent to act. Whose fault is that? You have to look to leadership — in this case, one Phil Berger — who seems more interested in investing in NC Casinos than in helping to preserve and protect The Constitution of the United States per Article V.

About the original intent of this essay. You could ask Don Henley to produce a meme for online distribution. But you don’t know the man. You hope somebody does. If you can’t expose a Commie,  a meme like this could poke some fun and go viral. Maybe.
